Essco Wholesale Electric – Number One in the Southwest - was founded by Pasquale
Dellisanti in 1973. The original name was Electric Surplus Sales Co. or ESSCO.
In October 1976, businessman Don Tapia purchased the company located in Anaheim, California and changed the name to Essco Wholesale Electric, Inc.

Mr. Tapia’s influence and business savvy was immediately felt within the electrical
wholesale community. By July of 1977 Mr. Tapia had created another Essco Wholesale
Electric Branch in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. To date, Essco has matured to fifteen branches
located throughout Arizona and Southern California – each branch is independently owned
and operated.

As a full-line commercial and residential electrical contractor supply house, Essco’s goals
and business focus have remained unchanged since inception…to provide each and every customer
